Dan, i’m interested in learning this CW stuff. I found myself looking for more information on the keyers you have shown and the differences. I hope i got this right:
The ST-1 will send repeating Dits when held to the left, repeating Dahs when held to the right. Further, no pinch/holding the paddles together in the home position results in anything because it’s a single arm paddle. The electronic keyer in the (modern) radio does the timing and spacing within a word to perfection. With my hand’s CT and other nerve damage this sounds like a better match vs. up down straight key and iambic type.
I have started using to G4FON Morse Trainer V10 set at 20 WPM, any recommendations specific to that would be appreciated. Long term I will need a lighter weight paddle when activating Summits On the Air backpacking/hiking. thanks for your help – Chuck.
