HOA’s have a powerful lobby. The experience of many of my friends that live under the rules of an HOA is that they really like telling people what they can and can’t do. And they really don’t like being limited in their authority to tell people what they can and can’t do. Think of them as a bunch of the most overbearing and insufferable Karen’s you can imagine, like the Phillies Karen at this recent baseball game (click here), and you’ll have the idea. We all need to tell Congress to tell HOA’s that hams can pursue our hobby without their interference.
