Last week MyParisNews.com ran a bit of a fluffy piece – 44-YEARS: Paris remembers deadly 1982 tornado – that I am linking to because it was on April 2, 1982 and I wanted everyone to have the reminder.  Forty-four years ago, 1982, I was a year out of high school, in college, spending time five days a week at Braniff Education Systems’ facility at Dallas Love Field working on my Airframe & Powerplant mechanics licenses and my employer got a call.  Medical supplies needed to be flown from Adison airport to Paris as it was going to be 30 or more minutes faster than driving it.  I flew a plane into Cox Field and recall seeing the devastation.  It was horrific from the air.  We didn’t have smartphones with cameras in those days, so all I have are memories.  If you have a picture from that day and will scan and send it to me I’ll get it posted up here.  Otherwise, we have this single news story with one picture.
