I spotted this April 28, 2026 headline – Buc-ee’s rival ramps up Texas takeover with $1.65M expansion plans – and thought it might spark some interest with Club members.
From the article “Buc-ee’s rivals may be popping up left and right in the Lone Star State, but one of the biggest has shown no signs of slowing down. With plans to add more than 150 locations alone, Casey’s Convenience Store has been ramping up expansion efforts and has now released the latest details on its three newest stores.” and “The latest Casey’s in Paris marks the company’s fifth location in the Northeast Texas city. The Paris Casey’s will be located at 3750 Lamar Ave., Paris, TX 75460.” and “Casey’s was founded in Iowa in 1968 and today operates nearly 3,000 stores across the country.”

Thank you for those great pictures! 😄 It rather puts it into perspective, huh? 😊 I thought the story was a bit hyped, but hey, that’s media for you. Nonetheless, Casey’s local growth is a plus…albeit more like competition for CEFCO. I do not see a Buc-ee’s in Paris anytime soon. Again, thank you for the fantastic follow up providing actual perspective. 👍🏽
