      All,

The DFW Ham Expo for 2026 is June 12-13 at the Vista Mall in Lewisville (TX).  They are more than doubling in size again for 2026, over 25,000 sq. ft. of exhibit area in the much larger NTX Arena at Vista Mall (former JCPenney store), with direct outside access to a large dedicated parking lot.

Their much larger air conditioned exhibit area will feature space and placement for commercial dealers, as well as over 200 vendor tables.  They are already 60% sold (which is more than all of 2025).

DFW Ham Expo is two days (Friday 1pm-6pm and Saturday 8am-3pm, Tailgate Saturday only at 7am).  They expect more than 1,000 hams this year.

There will be an outdoor tailgate on Saturday starting at 7am, VE testing, physical hardware radio testing by Mike Chittenden (AE5IV) – test that radio before you buy.  New this year is a convenient concessions stand, coffee cart and food truck access, plus convenient access to a stocked ATM and the Mall’s Food Court vendors.

From their press release: “Admission tickets are $10 and are available online (and also at the door).  Packages of Prize Tickets are also available (3 for $5 and 15 for $20) so you can increase your chances of winning.  Buy your Admission and Prize Tickets in advance and they will be pre-printed and available at the separate will-call check-in – avoid having to stand in line and fill out your name multiple times!

PURCHASE YOUR TICKETS at our DFW Ham Expo website: http://www.dfwhamexpo.com.  As with previous years, we use the Zeffy non-profit platform for ticket sales (and you can always select “other” to reduce their suggested service charge).”

I asked some of the people at the Club meeting yesterday if they were interested in going?  There was interest, but that is nearly a month out and so nobody committed.  I do not know if Kathy will be going or not, and I am debating getting a room and going down on Friday or round-tripping it on Saturday.  If I do that I can give someone a lift from Honey Grove if you want to take a ride with me.  Please drop me an email, text or call and let me know if you are interested.
