    All

OK, the headline is provocative, huh?  LOL  PAY?  The Super Bowl is advertising supported.  Now someone is raising the specter of it being on Pay Per View!  Sacrilege!

How many of us remember Master Lock spending their entire year – ENTIRE YEAR – advertising budget on a Super Bowl TV advertisement to show us a guy shooting a lock and it not opening?  Seriously, it was bad.  I could have shot it in a different place and it would have opened like it was made of chocolate, but I digress.

This article – How Much Would You Pay to Watch the Super Bowl on TV? – is just fantastic.  Thought provoking.  Reaching back into time with the likes of Bob Arum.  Hey, I know the average age of our Club members.  You ALL remember names like Bob Arum, Muhammad Ali and Leon Spinks.  You ALL remember ABC Wide World of Sports and the agony of defeat ski guy, don’t you?

This is once again one of those Wall Street Journal articles that has a gift link.  Kathy and I subscribe, we thought you would get a laugh out of the article, and we can gift you the chance to go and read it.  Don’t if you are scared to.  I get it.  Sacrosanct stuff like the Super Bowl somehow linked to discussion of pay per view…  Well, don’t go read it if you don’t want to.  But, if you do go and read it, I think you will laugh to yourself a little.  Hey, the guy even discusses charging his cat!

    Disregard at your peril. 😉

Uhm … Yeah.   I’m with the cat.   When it comes to anything NFL, I’ll give it a disgusted look, twitch my whiskers, about face, flip my tail, and go explore the intricacies of a dust bunny under the couch.

Short version?   They took a knee.   I took a walk.   They went full-tard with the DEI and soft porn halftimes, I kept on walking.

Along the way I discovered I wasn’t really missing much.   So y’all can go ahead and pony up the cash and watch.   I’m good.

    Enjoy!
