There is still time for all ARRL members to sit up and pay attention
To the changes that many of the Division Directors wish to make with Bylaw 46 and turn it into a Hit Squad manifesto – “The New Code of Conduct”

This New Code of Conduct, Should be defeated!

If you our ARRL members refuse to take a few minutes of time to read the proposed Code of Conduct also known as
The Motion to replace bylaw 46, which can be found here….

    https://westgulfdivision.org/…/MotionToReplaceBy-Law46.pdf

Then please at least attend and listen to the RatPac discussion tonight at 0200z (8PM our Time)

    https://us02web.zoom.us/j/2128884758…
    Meeting ID: 212 888 4758
    Passcode: RATPAC

Of course many ARRL members will just sit back and watch the train wreck and Bitch about it versus taking a few more minutes to educate themselves and write an email in opposition to the ARRL President K5UR and all Division Directors.

Contact info for ARRL Leadership may be found here…..
    http://www.arrl.org/divisions

Currently there are only Two Directors listed as sponsoring this Motion.
Therefore if we speak softly and respectfully, as individuals and Loudly as a group

This really bad motion which will allow good Directors to be more easily pushed aside and outed by just a few Votes may go away.

However, if we sit aside idly and just preach within our own Choir, it will come to be and then you all can forget any chance of Transparency from anyone in leadership with the ARRL, because they will have the tools to out anyone from within the BOD that speaks to you and I the ARRL members.

The “New Code of Conduct” is a stepping stone…
To not only oust Directors that oppose the CEO, but will pave the way to oust Section Managers that communicate facts to their members.

ARRL members, the ball is in our court now, but only for a limited time !!!

The ARRL Board of Directors meeting convenes the 19th of this Month.

Uhm … yeah.   Ooookay.   Thanks for the heads-up.

I could certainly be wrong about this, but it seems to me that the ARRL hierarchy has recently (and successfully) been using their own toes — and live rounds —  for target practice.

Just a heads-up here to those who are attempting to cement their own cushy comfy zone by diddling with other folks’ prerogatives …   (You may absolutely pass this along — in fact, please do — up the food chain .)

Most hams are far from stupid, and rank and file members are notorious for voting with their feet, and suddenly closed checkbooks.

The only reason I will be renewing my membership again is in support of the ARRL VE program.

Dan, I hope I never implied anyone was stupid.

And yes if this new Code of Conduct comes to be.

I will be gone as well, because the next step is leveraging the New Code of Conduct to force
any elected official out of the organization with which the CEO dislikes or opposes their views.

I love serving the 4,100+ ARRL North Texas members.

However, I will not sugar coat some of the stuff the CEO wants our members to swallow.
And he definitely does not like that.

    Cheers!

No.   You didn’t.   But our current, “CEO” sure seems to think we are.

You are correct about the Current ARRL CEO as well as some of the Division Directors
Fortunately ours is a good one.

However, if this New Code of Conduct Bylaw comes to be enacted both John Robert Stratton and Myself will soon have lots of free time
to do many others things versus support our members.

Not sure the following link will work here
However, if it does everyone should read K1VR’s 11 page document , it is easy to read and is well written.

I am paying attention. I agree with Dan. The CEO is trying to make a path to easily out someone this is happened in the past, and of course, within a couple of election cycles that CEO was out. Sure looks bad on the organization when things like that happen.
