Amateur Radio in and around the Red River Valley Area of Northeast Texas
I am planning a 5 park POTA rove for 2/29/24.

We will start at the Sam Bell Maxey House, then go to Cooper Lake and activate the WMA and the park. Next stop will be Bonham State park and then the Sam Rayburn House in Bonham.
If anyone would like to join us, please meet at the Sam Bell Maxey House around 8:30ish. My plan is to be on the air by 9am and then go from there. If you don’t want to do the rove and just join us locally that is welcome. So, please join us. If you have any questions, please call 903-495-2445, email markjohnsonjr66@gmail.com, or post on this forum.
Whoo-Hoo! We got it done! Thank you Haskell KI5VGQ for the 5 park POTA rove today. We started out at Sam Bell Maxey house, in the rain and cold, and then went to Cooper WMA & Cooper Lake State park. The pile ups came fast and furious there. It was a lot of fun. We, then, drove over to the Bonham State Park, and the Sam Rayburn House. I learned a lot today on our setups and activations. We made 178 contacts across the U.S. and Canada. We will plan another one in the near future, but we may let it warm up a bit. Hope you can join us on the next one!
