Red River Valley Amateur Radio Club
Amateur Radio in and around the Red River Valley Area of Northeast Texas
All,
Fuel theft is a big deal. I don’t know how many of you know it, but organized criminal rings use trickery to suck gas and diesel out of the ground at stations, sometimes getting thousands of gallons of fuel and causing gas stations large financial losses. So, when I saw Multi-agency investigation leads to arrest in diesel theft, two suspects still at-large I had to go and read it.
The article is a MyParisTexas.com piece on a theft ring that recently stole a LOT of fuel in Commerce, Cooper and Paris. They have caught one of the guys but there are others with warrants out. I don’t know if they sell the fuel on the black market to gas stations or what, but I do hope they catch and severely punish all of those involved.
Be safe,
Phillip
