Hey, club. Making my first forum post, so be nice lol. 😀

Today I had the day off and rode my motorcycle out and activated two parks. I had 35 contacts at Pat Mayse with 16 Park to Parks. I then packed up to move to Hugo State Park, where I fought the wind and kepping my antenna vertical. After getting 17 contacts, I decided to pack it up. I was working a pile-up at both locations most of the time.

Figured this wasn’t bad for my first POTA activation in almost 3 years.

Anybody going out this weekend? If so, let me know, and maybe we can meet up.

Nice. Yes, the pile ups come hot and heavy. It’s a lot of fun. I don’t know when the next time I’ll get to do an activation will be. Let’s get something something set up when you get the chance.

Hey Mark,

Yeah it was a lot of fun and didn’t take me long to get back into the rhythmom.

Looking at the calendar, the next weekend I have available is the TX POTA weekend.

I plan to meet y’all Saturday morning and work SSB. I might have digital up and running by then, just depends on having the time and motivation to get it set back up and tested.

Not sure yet on spending the night, but if I do I’d likely hammock camp.  I’ll decide on that as we get closer and what the weather forecast looks like.

Cool,  TX and OK parks are really hard to get here due to distance!  Pat Mayse might be LOS from my QTH.  I will keep an eye/hear out for you.
