What is the best way to raise a pole/mast using a front end loader on a tractor?
Pole is Army Tent Poles approx 35′ long. I have guy wire attachments already attached, as well as the dipole antennae unit. Id really like to raise it all at once instead of a few sections at a time. Suggestion please!?
Follow this procedure. You must use 4 sets of guy wires/ropes, 3 will not work.
I use this same method to raise and lower my 40′ tower with a winch.
Either have at least one person to help you or sit the mast on a somewhat tall ladder to start or the angle on the pull up ropes will be too great.
I actually haven’t had a chance to work on it. My wife just had knew replacement surgery and the weather went cold and wet. I’m hoping to get my granddaughter and grandson in law to come over and try next weekend.
Well good luck with that and I hope your wife is doing well after the knee replacement surgery. ???????? Next week’s weather sounds pretty icky but hopefully the weekend will be nice. Keep us updated.
